Kakli has been practicing as a psychotherapist for the last 20 years. She works with children, adolescents, parents, couples and families.
She holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, USA and Masters and Bachelors in Psychology from Delhi University. India. Kakli has received extensive training in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy and therapeutic assessments. Kakli is registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India as a Rehabilitation Psychologist. She is a professional life member of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists, Associate life member of Indian Academy of Pediatrics and Member of the Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
Besides her clinical practice, Kakli has been actively involved in the training, supervision and professional development of psychologists. She has taught and supervised at VIMHANS, Delhi, Sampurna Montfort College, Bangalore and Parivarthan Counseling Center, Bangalore.
Kakli is passionate about providing solid training and support to prospective therapists and counselors so that India has a larger pool of quality mental health professionals. In the last 6 years, she has been involved in the advanced training of many mental health professionals so they can work effectively with children and adolescents.
Kakli is currently practicing only online from her office in Whitefield, Bangalore.
